I. Summary

MultiTech announces the availability of its newest 4G-LTE Category 4 MultiConnect® microCell USB cellular modem certified and approved for use in North America, Europe, Australia, Japan and South Korea.
The existing Europe only model (MTCM2-L4G1-B03-KIT) is changing status from generally available to Near-End-of-Life (NEOL) effective immediately.

The core functionality of the new model has not changed.

The MultiConnect microCell is part of the MultiTech comprehensive portfolio of cellular connectivity products optimized for M2M (machine-to-machine) communications. Easy to install and configure through AT commands, the MultiConnect microCell is ideal for failover, out-of-band management, or primary internet connection over cellular. The MultiConnect microCell connects an intelligent appliance and is powered via the USB interface.

The MultiConnect microCell is a compact communications platform family that provides 4G-LTE Cat 4 cellular capabilities with fallback to 3G and 2G for fixed and mobile applications. It is ideal for use in settings such as:

• Remotely monitoring solar micro-inverters, power generators, tanks, pipelines, meters, pumps and valves in any energy, utility, or industrial applications.
• The MultiConnect microCell has also been successfully qualified by professionals in vending, and renewable energy systems.

Supported by over 50 years of experience in telecommunication technology, the MultiConnect microCell broadens the USB IoT device portfolio with LTE Cat 4 LPWA and by offering a simple to install and easy-touse cellular modem with a long and stable lifecycle, all important considerations for M2M/IoT applications.
